Our Story
A Comm Ave landmark, reopened with a new kitchen.
Sunset Cantina has anchored 916 Commonwealth Ave since 2003 — the unofficial pre-game for BU hockey, the after-class hangout, the spot you bring out-of-towners to prove Boston knows margaritas.
We reopened in December 2022 under new ownership — a team of four, led by BU alum Catarina Chang — with a clear mandate: keep the vibe, level up the food. More birria, more ceviches, more handmade tortillas. And yes, the loaded nachos are still on the menu.
